The LNG market was already under pressure from a lot of new supply coming in to the market. The oil market crisis and COVID-19 have only exacerbated the situation. Now US LNG exports are being curtailed, FIDs are being postponed, and the supply/demand balance is in turmoil for both the short and long term.

Edmund leads FGE’s short-term LNG service which analyzes regional supply/demand balances, inter-basin price spreads, inter-fuel competition and shipping costs. Edmund also contributes to FGE’s LNG fundamentals research by contributing the global LNG supply forecasts, price forecasts, and detailed sector-level coverage of domestic gas/LNG markets in Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Senior Analyst, FGE Beijing

At FGE, Wei principally focuses on research and analysis of China’s gas and LNG markets. Wei covers the forecasting of national gas supply and demand, upstream gas market development (both conventional and unconventional) and analysis of LNG and pipeline gas imports. She also studies gas infrastructures including LNG regasification terminals and domestic gas pipelines.

Ricky specializes in the natural gas/LNG market with a focus on Thailand and Myanmar. This includes pricing and supply/demand analysis. Apart from that Ricky is also responsible for the short-term outlook of South Korea.
