Asia's trio of condensate splitter projects is expected to begin commerical operations in July.
The two in South Korea, one in Singapore, will have a combined total of 4.1 mmpta of aromatics capacity, mainly Paraxlyene (PX). These will not impact Asia's market for naphtha significantly as feedstock needs will be mainly from the associated splitter units. At full operation, they are estimated to produce a combined total of approximately 120 kb/d of low sulfur gasoil and kero/jet, adding pressure to an oversupplied middle distillate market.
